071 The adaptive response of old ABCB5+ MSCs is impaired upon exposure to LPS

Previously, we showed that skin-derived ABCB5+mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) upon exposure with infection mimicking lipopolysaccharide (LPS) fundamentally shift their transcriptome high expression and the release of neutrophil activating chemokines. This adaptive response resulted in a significant increase expulsed DNA traps (NETs) proteolytic enzymes which guarantees defense from bacterial attack. Wound healing decreases age propensity for dramatically increases. We here set out to address question whether MSCs old healthy donors (> 60 years) unlike young (< 30 may change LPS towards reduced microbicidal response. Young primed revealed profound differences NF-κB translocation cytoplasm nucleus where it transactivates target genes among others.
